Event Rules
Any participant unsure of their physical ability to take part in the Moontrose Night Walk must seek medical advice for their general practitioner prior to the event. Neither the organisers nor Cancer Research UK accept any liability for the health of the entrant. All participants are responsible for their own medial condition; if in doubt about your ability to finish the Moontrose Night Walk or you have a medical condition, consult your doctor prior to commencing the walk.
Wheelchair users may enter the Moontrose Night Walk event providing they have assistance at the event.
The Moontrose Night Walk is a non-competitive walk and participants are reminded that running is not allowed. Event Marshalls have been instructed not to permit any runners to take part in the event.
All participants must abide by any rules, instructions and regulations displayed or given on the day of the event by police and officials.
Unfortunately, no pets, baby strollers/prams or roller skates/blades are allowed on the course.
The event organisers reserve the right to refuse entry if for whatever reason a person is deemed unfit to take part.
Cancer Research UK operates a no smoking policy at events and respectfully asks all participants along with their supporters to refrain from smoking at the event.
The event organisers respectfully ask all participants along with their supporters to be respectful of local residents while out on the route and not to make excessive noise.
The event organisers respectfully ask all participants and their supporters to look after their litter and either give litter to Marshalls or in the bins around the course.
The event organisers reserve the right to ask participants to leave the event if they do not adhere to the rules
By participating in the Moontrose Night Walk you are agreeing to the Moontrose Night Walk terms and conditions.
By registering (online/paper form) and signing up to the terms and conditions you agree to follow the reasonable directions of the organisers and abide by the rules of the Moontrose Night Walk, organisers reserve the right to refuse participation otherwise.
Walkers are respectfully reminded that no alcohol should be consumed at this event. Although each walker is responsible for their own health and safety, organisers are at liberty to refuse registration or exclude individuals from the event if any participants are under the influence of alcohol.
In the event the Moontrose Night Walk cannot take place on 30 April 2016 every attempt will be made to arrange a new date.
