These terms and conditions apply to your participation in Moontrose Night Walk in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Neither the organisers nor Cancer Research UK accept any liability for the health of the entrant. All participants are responsible for their own medical condition; if in doubt about your ability to finish the Moontrose Night Walk or you have any medical condition, consult your doctor prior to commencing the walk.
In the case of an emergency, event organisers may pass personal details provided by each participant to the emergency services, health care professional and for the purposes of contacting individual’s emergency contact.
The organisers of the Moontrose Night Walk have taken all reasonable steps to minimise the risk of injury to participants during fundraising events. There is a stringent risk assessment process in place for the Moontrose Night Walk which aims to minimise or eliminate the risk to everyone taking part. By taking part in this event, all participants acknowledge that there may be conditions or circumstances beyond our control which can lead to unforeseen risks. If you have any concerns or queries please contact us before agreeing to take part in this event.
You are advised to have your own personal insurance which covers you for participating in road walking sporting events.
·By taking part, all participants and volunteers confirm that they are happy for their names and any footage or photographs taken during their participation in the Moontrose Night Walk to get used to publicise the Moontrose Night Walk. Cancer Research UK will not provide your details to third parties.
All participants have a legal responsibility to ensure that tall sponsorship monies/donations received for the Moontrose Night Walk are paid to Cancer Research UK.
Any monies raised in connection with the Moontrose Night Walk must be passed to Cancer Research UK
The £10 entry fee is non-transferrable and non-refundable.
Only registered participants over 13 years of age are eligible to take part in the Moontrose Night Walk.
Volunteers must be over 18 years old.
All participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. We cannot take responsibility for under 16s on the day.
All participants entered the Moontrose Night Walk event entirely at their own risk. Neither the Angus Committee nor Cancer Research UK will be liable for any injury, damage or loss howsoever suffered by participants as a result of their participation other than in respect of death or personal injury arising as a result of their negligence.
Participants, supporters and family members spectated at the Moontrose Night Walk entirely at their own risk. Neither Angus Committee nor Cancer Research UK shall be liable for any injury, damage or loss suffered by spectators at the vent other than in respect of death or personal injury arising out of their negligence.
First aid facilities will be provided at the event. Participants consent to their details (which will be obtained by medical providers if participants are treated by them at the event) being passed to Angus Committee and Cancer Research UK. Angus Committee or Cancer Research UK shall only use these details for administration and health and safety purposes and to fulfil its legal obligations, including those under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences 1995. All medical details will be securely held by Angus Committee and Cancer Research UK.
